BitDefender Internet Security 2012 is a security suite designed to provide your computer with the latest technologies against viruses and other virtual enemies.

The interface is very user-friendly and attractive. Here you can view the current protection status for antivirus, firewall, and antispam, while updates are automatically done on a regular basis (there's also a manual option to “update now”).

A parental profile (a highly intuitive function that also comes with predefined profiles) can be extensively configured to filter online websites for children (it seems that BitDefender really wanted to put an emphasis on this portion), while scanning options include quick, full system, custom, vulnerability scan, or rescue mode.

BitDefender Internet Security 2012 comes with a lot of features, like an adjustable scanning mode, instant messaging control, Facebook control, a BitDefender toolbar (monitors online traffic and other activity), and others.

Switching to auto pilot mode will disable BitDefender from displaying you any notifications.

Our tests ran perfectly, and BitDefender has once again managed to keep up with modern standards. Memory is moderately used during an active scan, and the application didn't present any bugs or crashes whatsoever.

Fortunately, you don't have to be a power user to learn how to use BitDefender's full features, as it remains a very easy-to-use program.

BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2012 is the latest addition to the developer's collection, and it has been built to keep up with the recently created or improved threats that wander on the internet.

The installation process takes a while, so arm yourself with patience.

BitDefender's black interface is more pleasant than usual, as there are clearly established commands in white, while important events are highlighted in green.

Even if this antivirus environment is new to you, there is no way you can't deal with it.

The first thing that draws your attention is the status of your computer system, after being analyzed by BitDefender.

You can access Events, Settings, toggle Auto Pilot on top of the window, or activate the antivirus, privacy, update, or network map option.
